It was the first wedding of the year for Dubreezy Entertainment and there couldn’t have been a better couple to work with than Skyler and Kaitlyn. They had their wedding at Within Sodo in Seattle, WA.
We arrived, touched base with the wedding coordinator and got set up. Within Sodo has its own sound system throughout so we added some dance floor lighting and plugged right into their house system.
Guests started to arrive and the couple gave Dubreezy Entertainment free reign on what music to play during the prelude so we went with a modern mix of top 40 romantic love songs from artists like Ed Sheeran, Ray LaMontagne and Adele.
The Wedding Ceremony at Within Sodo
The ceremony kicked off right on schedule. The couple chose songs for the following processionals during their ceremony:
- Seating of the Parents – “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood
- Wedding Party’s Processional – “Honeymoon” by Johnny Stimson”
- Bride’s Processional – “Say You Won’t Let Go” violin cover by Daniel Jang
A good friend of the couple, who also happened to be a stand-up comedian, officiated the ceremony which took place in the gallery.
- Recessional Song – “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder
At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests were invited into the lounge to enjoy drinks and hor d’oeuvres.
The Wedding Reception at Within Sodo
The couple wasn’t too picky about the cocktail hour music but shared some of their favorite genres so we went with a wedding cocktail hour music mix of top 40, r&b, reggae, blues, oldies and a little bit of country.
After cocktail hour, we invited guests to their seats in the ballroom for dinner and the grand entrance of the couple.
- Grand Entrance Song – “Cheerleader” by OMI the Felix Jaehn Remix of course.
The couple came in and we went right into the dinner buffet. We excused the bride and groom, wedding party, families then tables by numbers to the two-sided buffet.
We then moved into toast with toasts from:
- Groomsman
- Best Man
- Maid Of Honor
- Bride’s Father
- Groom’s Mother
- Bride’s Stepfather
Kaitlyn and Skyler said a few words afterwards and then we invited everyone back into the lounge for the couple’s first dance and parent dances.
- First Dance Song – “Hey Pretty Girl” by Kip Moore
- Bride/Father Dance Song – “Daddy’s Angel” by T. Carter
- Groom/Mother Dance Song – “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts
After the Groom/Mother dance, we opened up the dance floor to all guests and kept a good mix of top 40, hip-hop, r&b, country, edm and a few oldies.
Lot’s of line dances at this wedding too.
We stopped for cake cutting, bouquet toss and garter toss.

Since Dubreezy Entertainment always mixes and beat matches the music, we kept the dance floor packed all night long and it turned out to be a successful first wedding for 2018.
