DUBREEZY ENTERTAINMENT provides DJ entertainment services for a Kitsap Memorial Park wedding ceremony and reception. It was a calm Sunday afternoon with perfect sunny weather for a wedding celebration in the park.
Here are some of the highlights from the event.
Kitsap Memorial Park Wedding Ceremony
It started with a traditional Indian wedding ceremony since the bride was of Indian descent. The actual ceremony required no music so once the background music we had playing prior was faded out, the ceremony started. It involved a priest saying some prayers for the new couple.
Here is a shot of the setting before the ceremony started and while it was going on:
After he said the first prayer, the sheet that separated them was removed for them to see each other for the first time. Another prayer was said by the priest and then the groom was able to kiss his bride and the ceremony concluded.
We continued to provide background music outside for cocktail hour while guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers from Shalimar Restaurant.
Guests were then invited into the cabin for the main reception.
Kitsap Memorial Park Wedding Reception
Since we provided two sound systems, the DJ sound system inside the cabin was set up prior to the ceremony to make for a smooth transition from the outdoor cocktail hour to the indoor reception. After all the guests were invited to take their seats, the grand entrance was next. They were introduced to Nat King Cole – “L-O-V-E”. They did the toast right after the grand entrance and then the dinner buffet was opened.
There was no cake cutting ceremony or cake so it was right into dessert. Indian ice cream was the dessert.
The bride and groom were invited out to enjoy their first dance together as husband and wife and the song they chose was Pink Martini – “Let’s Never Stop Falling In Love.”
No other dances or special events were on the agenda so it was open dancing for everyone. We played a mix of Bollywood music from artists like Yo Yo Honey Singh and Hamsika Iyer and current and classic hits.
The guests even started a conga line at this kitsap memorial park wedding.
The night ended with The Temptaions – “My Girl” with all the guests surrounding the bride and groom in a circle to close out the night.
