It’s the start of a new year and that means it’s time to look back at the most requested songs of 2017. These songs are in no particular order but rather mentioned as they came to me.
2017 was a great year and a busy year for Dubreezy Entertainment. We are excited to do bigger and better things as we enter 2018 and our 10th year in business.
Top 10 Most Requested Songs Of 2017
1. “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran
I could not perform a high school dance without being asked to play this slow song. It was also a very popular wedding first dance song too.
2. “Juju On That Beat” by Zay Hilfigerrr and Zayion Mccall
Another very popular high school dance song but also popular at middle school dances and even elementary school dances. People would request this song at weddings since all the nieces and nephews would entertain the other wedding guests by performing the dance to this song.
3. “Uptown Funk” by Mark Ronson feat Bruno Mars
Any event that I performed at was guaranteed to have a Bruno Mars song played. “Uptown Funk” was one of the most popular ones in 2017.
4. “Cupid Shuffle” by Cupid
No event would be complete without a good line dance.

5. “Get Low” by Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz
This song is often called “To The Window To The Wall” but of course us DJs know that you mean to say “Get Low”.
6. “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi feat Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber
I still don’t know what Despacito means until this day but there was no getting away from this song at any event in 2017.
7. “Wild Thoughts” by DJ Khaled – Wild Thoughts feat Rihanna and Bryson Tiller
Although this song came out a little later in the year, I received enough requests for this song in 2017 that I decided to put it on the list.
8. “Bad and Boujee” by Migos feat Lil Uzi Vert
If it wasn’t for a special version of this song that I have, I don’t think I could’ve listened to this song one more time in 2017. This song definitely had it fair share of plays at events.
9. “Can’t Stop The Feeling” by Justin Timberlake
I often ended events with this song. This was a very popular song in 2017.
10. “Downtown” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis
Of course being a Seattle based DJ company, we receive a lot of requests for Macklemore songs. “Downtown” was one of the most popular requested songs of 2017.
