Mountain Springs Lodge Wedding
It was such a beautiful drive from downtown Tacoma to Plain, WA for Brad and Amanda’s Moutain Springs Lodge Wedding just outside the town of Leavenworth.
Dubreezy Entertainment has DJ’d for many weddings east of the mountains but this was the first time at Mountain Springs Lodge.
Mountain Springs Lodge Wedding Ceremony
Guests started to gather around the ceremony site around 3:30pm, we were setup and ready to play wedding prelude music on one of the two DJ systems that were brought out to Mountain Springs Lodge for Brad and Amanda’s ceremony.
The officiant, who was also the groom’s father, went to take his place and it was time for the ceremony to begin.
The processional songs chosen were:
- Wedding Party – “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole
- Bride – “Marry Me” by Train
The bride and groom read their vows to each other using the included clip on mic and then the bride’s father was asked to join them to continue with the ring exchange.
Afte they were married and the formal introduction took place, it was time for the recessional.
- Recessional Song – “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall and Oates
Guests were then invited back up to the lodge for the reception.
Mountain Springs Lodge Wedding Reception
As guests came to the lodge for the reception, they were greeted to lawn games, appetizers and beverages while the bride and groom signed some paperwork and took pictures.
Once they finished pictures, it was time for the grand entrance.
- Grand Entrance Song – “Good Timin'” by Jimmy Jones
I introduced the bride and groom and they immediately were sent off to the buffet followed by the wedding party. The staff at Mountain Springs Lodge then went around to dismiss tables.
After everyone had a chance to go through the buffet line at least once, we got started with toast. The best man, maid of honor, father of the bride and the bride and groom all said a few words
Then instead of the traditional wedding cake, this couple had a cookie cutting ceremony
Cookie Cutting Song – “Honey Bee” by Blake Shelton
The bride and groom then headed out to the deck where the dance floor was for their first dance, bride/father dance, groom mother dance and anniversary dance.
- First Dance – “You Are The Best Thing” by Ray Lamontagne
- Bride/Father Dance – “I Loved Her First” by Heartland
- Groom/Mother Dance – “A Song For My Son” by Mikki Viereck
- Anniversary Dance – “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young
We opened up the dance floor for a bit and then stopped to do the bouquet and garter tosses.
- Bouquet Toss Song – “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper
- Garter Toss Song – “Gold Digger” by Kanye West
We finished up the night with more open dancing and since there were a lot of cougar alumni there, I was told to play the cougar fight song. After the night ended, I directed all their guests to form a tunnel for their send off.
