Considering the best pre wedding ceremony songs and playlists for your ceremony can seem like a daunting task. This music is also often referred to as wedding prelude music.
It is important to lock down a system to identify when the best times are for certain music. You don’t want to be playing dance floor songs or cocktail hour music the entire time (okay, maybe for some weddings, but not all).
Whenever I plan wedding entertainment for any of my clients I always break the event down into segments. This, however, goes for all events.
Today I will be going over what I have found to be some of the best pre wedding ceremony songs. By far one of the subtler moments of the wedding ceremony.
Pre Wedding Ceremony Songs Playlist
1. “Stay” by Rihanna featuring Mikky Ekko
It’s a love song…If you just listen to the lyrics that are sung here, you can tell why it is considered to be one of the best pre wedding ceremony songs.
2. “Love Fell On Me” by Sheléa Frazier
She is so subtle! It is beautiful. A great prelude song that will put your guests at ease.
3. “Nothing Even Matters” by Lauryn Hill featuring D’Angelo
Smooth R&B is a great way to keep your audience feeling good during those pre wedding ceremony moments.
4. “Nevertheless (I’m In Love With You)” by Michale Bublé featuring The Puppini Sisters
This is by no means bland, this is harmonious music created for alleviating stress. When considering pre wedding music this song is a must.
5. “River Flows In Me” by Yiruma
If you have ever used the internet, you have probably heard this song. “River Flows In Me” by Yiruma who became an internet sensation over the tech boom years. I can’t say much about this song other than it makes you feel good. Make sure to add it to your pre wedding ceremony songs list.
6. “Hold You In My Arms” by Ray LaMontagne
Instant classic here. Guests love this one. That easy sway this tune carries is perfect for tired travelers to your wedding.
7. “For You I Will” by Monica
Monica lays out a song of commitment. Every word from this song would be great for writing your vows. Having that symbolism in your wedding prelude music doesn’t hurt, and really shows your guest that you put some thought into your wedding.
8. “Ho Hey” by The Lumineers
Are you a millennial? If you are or if you aren’t you have probably heard this alternative hit song. I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. Another one of those truly feel good songs that are perfect for setting the tone in your pre wedding ceremony playlist.
9. “Until The End Of Time” by Justin Timberlake featuring Beyoncé
Another song of symbolism to play for your guests. Though Timberlake isn’t always my first choice, he and Beyoncé did a smash-up job on this perfect wedding prelude track.
10. “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton
You know we had to have a country hit in here right?! And for good reason. This song hits home for most people every time. The sound, the words, and the soul that were put into this song makes it undeniable to this playlist!
I really enjoyed writing this blog and putting together a playlist for calming pre wedding ceremony music.
