Perfect weather on hand for a Pickering Barn Wedding Ceremony and Reception that DJ Dubre Hayes aka DJ DUBREEZY performed for.
Ceremony prelude music chosen by the couple was classic r&b hits from artists like Al Green, Marvin Gaye and Percy Sledge.
Pickering Barn Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony began with a live piano solo from a friend of the couple that the wedding party and bride walked down the aisle to.
The recessional for the ceremony was “Then He Kissed Me” by The Crystals however it was sung live by another friend of the couple with DUBREEZY ENTERTAINMENT providing the background track.
Immediately following the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour began in the courtyard area of the Pickering Barn. The same style of music as the prelude was chosen for cocktail hour.
Pickering Barn Wedding Reception
At the conclusion of cocktail hour, guests were invited inside for the wedding reception. DJ music chosen by the couple was new age style and Indian music.
Grand entrance song was “Get The Party Started” by Pink and then it was immediately into dinner.
The bride and groom were sent through first and the rest of the 400 guests were dismissed at random by table number for the dinner buffet catered by Spice Route Indian Cuisine.
After dinner was the toast give by each member of the wedding party that included a poem written by the bride’s cousin, then it was off to the first dance. The first dance song they chose was “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King.
Bride/Father (“Stand By Me” by Ben E. King) and anniversary dance (“Always and Forever” by Luther Vandross) were next and then it was open dancing. We mixed in some traditional Indian music along with some top 40 and classic r&b.
The bride also took this time to change into a sari for the Aarti.
Cake cutting and bouquet toss wrapped up all the special events and then it was just open dance for the rest of the night.
“Bye Bye Bye” by “‘N Sync” was the last song of the night.
