There are some weddings I DJ for that just don’t feel right if the wedding music isn’t upbeat. Whether it’s the venue, the fact that it’s outdoors on a comfortable summer day or the overall vibe in the room, sometimes upbeat wedding music just makes sense.
If you’re planning a wedding and thinking about keeping the music upbeat for most of the day, I’ve got some great music suggestions for you.
uplThere are three main parts to your wedding that you need to think about the music for. The prelude, the cocktail hour and dinner which can kind of go together, and the dancing portion.
Should my pre wedding ceremony music be upbeat?
The ceremony is the one and only time that you should not have upbeat wedding music. This is the time for romantic love songs that are setting the mood for a wedding. This is also known as the prelude.
The best wedding prelude songs are going to really grab your guests attention with the lyrics and/or the musical arrangement of the song.
