My Snohomish Wedding Wrap Up

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about an event. As my Snohomish wedding wrapped up tonight, I decided I would post about this one.

The wedding took place outdoors at a beautiful home in Snohomish, WA. The weather was perfect, not too warm and not too cool. The backyard had a waterfall and a backdrop of the forest.

DJ services were not needed for the wedding ceremony so once I finished setting up, and putting on my purple button up shirt and purple tie, I just waited for the ceremony to end as I was set to go on as soon as the recessional song ended.

How Did My Snohomish Wedding Go?

Both the bride and groom were married previously before so they wanted a laid back, party atmosphere with lots of dancing type of feel to it.

The only special highlights they wanted were the cake cutting ceremony and first dance.

As soon as the wedding ceremony concluded, I started off with standard wedding background music but only for about 25 minutes. Since dinner was ready as soon as the ceremony was done, guests were already finishing up their meals.

I then went into some more upbeat songs to get the party vibe going. People started to dance in their seats so then after about 10-15 minutes of that, I decided to turn the music up and start the dance music.

The dance floor was occupied be the teenagers first so I played some hip hop and top 40 for them, then the adults wanted in on the action so I brought them out with “Erotic City” by Prince as requested by the home owner.

I continued the dance party up until I got word from the groom that they wanted to do the cake cutting and first dance.

They didn’t have a song chosen for cake cutting so I just did the funky “Cut The Cake” by Average White Band and followed it up with “Sugar” by Maroon 5.

The first dance song they chose was “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Sheeran and they wanted all their guests to join them on the dance floor.

Once that concluded, it was right back to dancing with a mix of classic rock, hip hop, country, top 40 and r&b.

The bride decided at the last minute to do a bouquet toss so I played a medley of “Single Ladies” by Beyonce, “Gold Digger” by Kanye West and “Milkshake” by Kelis since it took awhile to round up all the ladies.

They ended with “Like A Wrecking Ball” by Eric Church and did a bubble send off out the front.

Here is a video of a couple of guests who decided to dance with the wedding cake and yes go ahead and like it.

Here is a selfie that a couple of guests wanted to take with me. My head got chopped off.
