Matt and Laura’s Woodmark Hotel Wedding

Matt and Laura’s Woodmark Hotel Wedding Highlights

Matt and Laura chose Dubreezy Entertainment to DJ and Emcee their Woodmark Hotel Wedding in Kirkland, WA. This beautiful indoor/outdoor venue overlooks Lake Washington from the east and with the weather sunny and warm, it made for the perfect recipe for a wedding.

Woodmark Hotel Wedding Ceremony

A string quartet was brought in to provide music for the prelude and ceremony, which took place outside however we did provide one of the two DJ sound systems we brought in for the ceremony in which we mic’d up the officiant, bride, groom and separate wireless mic for two speeches that were given.

The ceremony was short and sweet and once it was over, it was time for the catering staff at the Woodmark Hotel to transition the tent for dinner.

Guests were invited to enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvre outside on the lawn. This is also the time we started to play cocktail hour music. The couple wasn’t too picky about the music so they left it up to us.

We provided a mix of mellow top 40, classic rock, reggae, jazz and r&b.

After cocktail hour ended, I invited guests into the tent to take their assigned seats for a plated dinner.

The couple was then introduced to their grand entrance song which was “Parachute” by Chris Stapleton.

Once everyone was served, we went into the toast. The toast order was as follows:

  • Father of the Bride
  • Best Man
  • Matron of Honor
  • Bride and Groom

After the bride and groom gave their speech and thanked their guests for coming it was time for all their wedding guests to head inside the Woodmark Hotel for cake cutting and dancing.

After the cake cutting, it was time for the special dances. Matt and Laura did a non-traditional order of dances starting off with the Groom/Mother dance:

  • Groom/Mother Dance Song – “Teach Your Children” by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young
  • Bride/Father Dance Song – “Someone Like You” by Van Morrison
  • First Dance Song – “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell

After that, it was just a dance party until the end playing from a list of songs that the bride and groom provided. The bride and her mother even decided to take over the turntables for a bit.

The last song of night chosen by the couple was “Come Fly With Me” by Frank Sinatra.
