Blair and Caroline’s Hollywood Schoolhouse Wedding in Woodinville

Out of all the Seattle area wedding DJs, Blair and Caroline chose Dubreezy Entertainment to DJ and Emcee for their Hollywood Schoolhouse wedding reception on December 30, 2016, the eve of new years eve. We’ve performed at this venue before so setup was quick since we only had a setup window from the end of the ceremony until the start of the reception.

Hollywood Schoolhouse Wedding Ceremony

We arrived just as the ceremony was beginning. We were only there to perform for the reception.

Immediately following the ceremony, guests were invited to go upstairs for cocktail hour while the downstairs room was flipped for the reception. After we setup all of the DJ equipment, guests were invited back downstairs.

Once the guests came back downstairs and got situated, we did a grand entrance.

  • Grand Entrance Song: Queen – “You’re My Best Friend”

We then sent the bride and groom, wedding party and dismissed the rest of the tables by number in order of what the bride and groom chose to the dinner buffet which had caesar  salad, roasted red potatoes, chicken, prime rib, vegetables and dinner rolls.

Once everyone had a chance to grab a plate, champagne was poured for guests to prepare for the toast.

A toast was given by the best man, maid of honor, father of the groom and father of the bride. The bride and groom said a few words after toasts were finished.

It was then off to cake cutting.

  • Cake Cutting Song: Hall and Oates – “You Make My Dreams Come True”

After cake cutting, we were all in for a special treat. The first dance was sung live by a close friend of the bride and he was backed by the groom’s cousin and his jazz band.

  • First Dance Song: Frank Sinatra – “You Make Me Feel So Young” (Cover)

Here is a clip of the first dance song…

After the first dance, there were only two special dances left.

  • Bride/Father Dance: The Beatles – “In My Life”
  • Groom/Mother Dance: Rascal Flatts – “My Wish”

From there on out, it was a dance party. The most popular song of the night by far was “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond hence the bride’s first name.

Some of the other vendors that helped out to make Blair and Caroline’s Hollywood Schoolhouse wedding a success were Elegant Affairs and Salt and Pine Photography.

Again, we were honored that Blair and Caroline entrusted Dubreezy Entertainment with the DJ entertainment for their special occasion. Thank you!!!
