Top 10 Greatest Hip Hop Songs of the 2000s

These songs are in no particular order, they all did their job very well in the night clubs I used to spin in during the peaks of these songs successes.

Freeway – Roc The Mic feat Beanie Siegel (2002)

This song, you just had to be there to truly experience how great this song is.

David Banner – “Like A Pimp” (2003)

This song was great because it was during the time when southern rap music was becoming popular.

New Boyz – “You’re A Jerk” (2009)

I had this one as my ringtone for awhile.

J-Kwon – “Tipsy” (2004)

This is one of those ones that still works very well to get people on the dance floor.

E-40 – “Tell Me When To Go” (2006)

You can neve go wrong with an E-40 song out here on the west coast.

D4L – “Laffy Taffy” (2005)

Another southern style song to add to the popularity of southern rap music during the 2000s.

2Pac – “2 Of Amerikaz Most Wanted” feat Snoop Dogg (2001)

2Pac and Snoop Dogg is another combo that is just a “must-have” out here on the west coast.

Ludacris – “Money Maker” feat Pharrell Williams (2006)

Anything that Pharrell was a part of was a sure hit song.

Bubba Sparxxx – “Heat it up” (2006)

Baby Bubba…

Terror Squad – “Lean Back” (2005)

I still remember the dance to this song.

There were so many other great songs from the 00s but I just wanted to keep this list to 10.
