Chinese New Year Celebration In Seattle
DUBREEZY ENTERTAINMENT was the DJ entertainment for a private Chinese New Year Celebration at Venus Karaoke in Seattle, WA on Saturday, January 31, 2014. Tickets were available for pre-sale and at the door on the night of the event. The party was scheduled to start at 6:00 PM and end at 2:00 AM.I was the DJ for this event, I arrived at about 4:45 PM for setup. Venus Karaoke provided there own sound system which saved them some DJ sound equipment charges. They also provided a couple of dance floor lights and requested that I bring my dance floor lighting along with the fog machine.
Their dance floor lighting combined with my dance floor lighting gave the event a double light show effect. Adding the fog machine to this, made it look like we were at a professional music venue Seattle has to offer, watching a rock concert.
The first guests for the Chinese New Year Celebration arrived around 8:45 PM so I spent the first 2 hours and 45 minutes warming up the turntables. They came in dancing to the hip-hop heavy mix I had going.
As more people arrived, I started to transition into hip-hop with a little top 40 mixed in.
As it got later and the party was at it’s peak, we went with EDM for the rest of the night. As the party died down, I went back to some hip-hop.
Chinese New Year Celebration – DJ and Karaoke
It turned out to be a great event. Venus Karaoke also offered it’s karaoke services to the eight or so rooms that surrounded the dance floor. It was the best of both worlds.For those that wanted to dance could dance to the DJ music and if you wanted to take a break from dancing, you could go into your karaoke room and sing with your friends.
