50th Wedding Anniversary Songs

1. “The Stroll” by The Diamonds

A classic 50’s hit. What better song to accommodate your BIG 50th wedding.

2. “The Way You Do The Things You Do” by The Temptations

The Temptations… This whole list could be full of temptations! I mean these guys were the smash back then and still have some truly timeless tunes. This is a wonderful up-tempo love song for your 50th wedding anniversary playlist.

3. “Sugar Sugar” by The Archies

They just don’t make music like this anymore. It was so honest – innocent right? A genuine song that will help re-instill that love between you and your soulmate of 50 years.

4. “I Saw Her Standing There” by The Beatles

How could we have a playlist about love without including the Beatles? This song is great for bringing up the tempo of your 50th anniversary. You are sure to get all your guests shaking booty to this one! Ha!

5. “Brown Eyed Girl” by Van Morrison

Just a song about perseverance of love in your youngest days. Bring back memories here, “my brown eyed girl”. Of course, it helps if your girl really does have brown eyes here, LOL. Great song for the 50th wedding anniversary.

6. “Oh, Pretty Woman” by Roy Orbison

Roy Orbison was the epitome of COOL in the early 60’s. A must have in your 50th anniversary playlist. If you aren’t playing it for yourself, at least play it for your party goers… They’ll love it.

7. “Hey Baby” by Bruce Chanel

Another first sight love song. Bruce’s voice here really encompasses that wobbly feeling we get when introducing ourselves to our first love.

8. “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond

What’s a 50th anniversary or ANY anniversary without Neil Diamond? Sweet Carolinnnnee! When the party hits its pinnacle you know your guests will be swaying to this 1969 hit.

9. “My Girl” by The Temptations

One Temptations song wasn’t enough!!! “My Girl” should be played at every wedding, anniversary, dance, and or event. This song is beautiful and I hope you find it perfect for your 50th anniversary song list.

10. “Stand By Me” by Ben E. King

This is one of those love songs that is and will forever be a timeless hit. It’s beauty, freshness, and genuine lyrics should rush chills down your back to this day. There are plenty of great covers for this song honorable mention being John Lennon’s cover. The original is remarkable. I hope you make use of this work of art in your upcoming 50th wedding anniversary celebration.
